HYDRAULIC BRAKE LINE COUPLER
Extend hydraulic brake lines for all applications, road, gravel, mountain, tandem and cargo bikes for internal and external routing.
Intended for use with standard 5/5.5mm OD hydraulic brake line.
--- STANDARD kit recommended for Shimano, TRP, Magura, Campagnolo and most other systems using mineral oil.
--- SRAM kit includes red Stealthamajig olive and barb and is recommended with SRAM, Hope, Hayes brake lines using DOT brake fluid. These will also work with Mineal oil.Sold as a SINGLE BRAKE KIT that includes all parts (as shown) to couple one brake line.
Though we make no guarantees of compatibility with various brands this kit has been successfully used with Shimano BH59/BH90, Magura MT, Tektro/TRP, Avid/SRAM, Hayes, and Formula brake hoses by countless customers, builders, and shops.
NOTE: Extra care should be taken when using Shimano TL-BH62 (insert tool) to push barbed inserts into brake hoses.
For best results we recommend lubricating the barb with a thin layer of brake fluid and using the SRAM Handheld Barb Driver Tool (MPN: 00.5315.028.030) which is compatible with SRAM Stealthamajig and other brand barb inserts.
STANDARD hydro couplers are compatible with Shimano, TRP, Magura, Campagnolo, and other standard brake lines.
SRAM hydro couplers are compatible only with SRAM brake lines.
